Telesales People

I receive these calls every day,
Offering contracts or insurance, “Please buy without delay,”
And in return for their generosity,
They have to endure such rudeness from me.

I’m locking the gates, my hands are full of stuff,
If you call me then, you’re sure to get a rebuff,
Actually, if the truth be told,
Don’t ever call me, don’t be so bold,
Though I feel for you such pity,
I’m not in need of your goods, you see.

One day if I have kids, I’ll do my best,
To discourage them from following a profession that’s truly unblessed,
For I really don’t see any great use,
For willingly setting yourself up for abuse.
