Funny Ironies

Sometimes I find the ironies of life quite funny.
Like this one:
On Monday a meeting was called at work to tell us that ESKON notified them that the power will be off the next day from 8 to 2. People were clamouring to put in the day’s leave we could take if we chose to.
So yesterday the building was practically empty, and the lights were on ALL day.
Thinking about this later, I said to myself: “Self, I bet you a million buckeroos that the power will be off tomorrow.”
Guess what? I owe myself a million bucks. ☺ That’s exactly what happened! No power from 9 to 5.

But as for me: After teaching my student in the dark, stick out my tongue and grin, because … I have a fully charged iPhone.
